Ipanema Technologies announces $7 million in financing
To expand global geographic coverage of company and grow R&D team

Paris — August 19, 2008 — Ipanema Technologies, a leader in application traffic management systems for wide area networks, today announced $7 million in new financing to expand its global geographic coverage and grow its R&D staffing.

For the last three years Ipanema technologies enjoyed 60% annual growth. To continue momentum and speed up this growth rate, Ipanema Technologies has secured these additional funds from London-based Noble Venture. Ipanema's unique approach to intelligent visibility, intelligent optimization and intelligent acceleration ensures a better and constant alignment of business processes and IT, especially in the new world of dynamic IT, where requirements change rapidly.

The investment news follows recent announcement of Reza Mahdavi as president of Worldwide Operations as well as recent successes for Ipanema, including partnerships with leading service providers such as BT, France Telecom/Orange Business Services, C&W, Tata Communications and Swisscom. These service providers offer turnkey high value-added managed service to large global companies. In fact, about 75% of WAN optimization managed services from telecoms globally are powered by Ipanema.

According to Jean-Yves Leclerc, CEO of Ipanema Technologies, “Raising these additional funds is a key element of our plan to drastically increase the presence of the company not only in Europe but also in North America and Asia. At the same time it will help us to maintain our technical leadership for global intelligent WAN optimization systems and continue to respond to the demands of our managed services provider partners.”
