Nominations in CapMan Group

18 Feb 2005 -- As of 17 February 2005, Mr Tuomas Lang has been appointed as Senior Partner, Mr Göran Barsby and Mr Jan Dahlqvist have been nominated as Partners and Mr Johan Bennarsten has been appointed as Investment Director at CapMan.

Tuomas Lang, M.Sc. (Econ.), 44, joined CapMan's Buyout team in 1998 as Partner. Lang has gained experience in the health care sector and service industries and is a Board member in Mehiläinen Oyj, Tiimari Oyj and Staffpoint Oy. He is also a specialist in mezzanine investments. Previously he worked for Leonia Bank as Vice President in corporate banking.

Göran Barsby, M.Sc. (Econ.), 53, joined CapMan’s Buyout team in March 2003 as Investment Director. Barsby has had an instrumental role in establishing CapMan’s buyout activities in Sweden. Prior to joining CapMan he worked for Ahrens Tillväxtkonsulter AB, consulting Sweden’s most rapidly growing companies. Barsby has held a variety of international CEO positions with food packaging companies Tetra Pak and Tetra Laval, media group Bonnier, food producer and marketer Procordia and technology company Toolex Alpha. He is also a Board Member in numerous Swedish companies.

Jan Dahlqvist, M.Sc. (Econ.), 41, joined CapMan’s Buyout team in 2002. Prior to CapMan Dahlqvist has five years of venture capital experience at Sixth Swedish Pension Fund (AP), where he was the Head of Operation South. He has been involved in both buyout and technology transactions. Additionally, Dahlqvist has experience from working as a Management Consultant combined with temporary management positions in several small and mid-sized companies. He has also served as a Portfolio Manager/Analyst at the investment bank Alfred Berg.

Johan Bennarsten, M.Sc.(Eng.), M.D., 33, joined CapMan’s Life Science team as Investment Analyst in early 2001 and was promoted to Investment Manager in 2003. Since then he has contributed to the analysis of life science deals and investments. Previously Bennarsten practised as Paediatrician at Södersjukhuset in Stockholm and gained experience from the medical technology industry as Medical Specialist at Siemens-Elema, Stockholm, within intensive care products.
