CapMan acquires Norwegian InfoCare ASA

July 1, 2005 -- The funds managed/advised by CapMan and Helge Briseid Risnes, CEO and founder of the InfoCare Group, will acquire the Norwegian specialist in ICT services InfoCare ASA from Fujitsu Services and 3i. Following the transaction, CapMan funds have a 67% stake in InfoCare and Helge Briseid Risnes and the executive management group hold the remainder. The closing of the transaction requires the approval of competition authorities, and the deal is expected to be closed during August. The investment will finance InfoCare’s growth to strengthen its competitive position in the Nordic markets.

InfoCare’s services comprise on-site service, workshop repair services and spare parts logistics for all major brands within the ICT industry. InfoCare has 1,036 employees at 60 sites in Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. InfoCare was founded in 1986 and its net sales were approx. EUR 90 million in 2004.

InfoCare is the leading independent provider of ICT services in the Nordic countries. There has been strong growth in outsourcing of repair services over the past few years, and the industry has a steady growth outlook in the coming years.

Terje Gunnulfsen, the company’s current CFO, has been appointed CEO of InfoCare. InfoCare’s founder and current CEO, Helge Briseid Risnes, will become Chairman of the Board.

”InfoCare’s business has grown and developed well throughout the company’s history. The ICT service market is still fragmented and we believe that InfoCare has good preconditions to expand its position in Nordic markets,” says Markus Sjöholm, CapMan Partner.

”We are very pleased with this transaction. CapMan has good resources to strengthen InfoCare’s market position and business, and we are optimistic about our prospects for further growth. Regardless of the transaction, both Fujitsu Services and InfoCare are committed to continuing a strong commercial relationship,” says Helge Briseid Risnes, Chairman of InfoCare Holding AS.
