Oregan™ Media Browser is integrated with BitBand’s Vision™ IPTV video server
The partners have launched an end-to-end server-to-client solution on a number of MPEG 4 decode IPTV

London, UK, September 1, 2005 – Oregan Networks Ltd., a supplier of embedded browser and media client building blocks for delivery of value added broadband TV services and advertising, has announced a technology development partnership with BitBand Inc, an innovator in metropolitan residential and hospitality IPTV server solutions, with a vision to offer complete end-to-end IPTV solutions to telecommunications, cable and satellite companies.

The collaboration between the companies is customer-driven, catering for mutual contract wins in the Asia Pacific and EMEA regions. The end solution utilises the highly scalable Vision video server solution of BitBand for VOD and TVoD, in conjunction with Oregan’s integrated broadband IP-STB client and TV browser. The IP-STB devices, powered by the partners’ technologies offer an array of end-user entertainment functionalities: secure streaming of multi-codec VOD and TVoD content over broadband IP networks, rendering of Dynamic HTML and Macromedia® Flash® -based user interfaces and access to compelling online applications, such as full-featured Internet browsing, online games, on demand media portals, instant messaging and Electronic Program Guides.

Oregan Media Browser enables broadband IP delivery of digital entertainment content to resource-constrained Consumer Electronics and Consumer Premises Equipment, as well as facilitating mobility of digital media within the home network.
