Logispring and CMEA co-lead US$ 11 million Series A round in Global MailExpress, Inc.

Geneva (Switzerland) - September 20, 2005 – Logispring announced today that it has invested in Atlanta-based Global MailExpress, Inc., a provider of nation-wide expedited delivery and innovative mail services for flats, small parcels and bound printed material. Logispring, a supply network focused, transatlantic venture capital firm, co-led the US$ 11 million Series A round together with San Francisco based CMEA Ventures. Robert Moss, chief executive officer of MailExpress, indicated that the company would use the funds to roll out its network of hubs, hire key operational staff and intensify its sales efforts.

MailExpress’ services, technology and processes set new industry standards for tracking, delivery, address management and security, while providing its customers flexibility and significant cost saving opportunities. MailExpress will leverage the founding team’s experience and is poised to benefit from the growing market appetite for innovative, value added solutions in the largely untapped outsourced mail delivery space.

MailExpress’ OnTrack™, proprietary-developed technology platform provides the backbone for the execution of all routing and customer service processes. Opportunities exist for destination consolidation, contingency routing, and specialised customer routings (including international routing) that can all be controlled at account setup or on a specific day basis and pushed out to the field locations. Moreover, MailExpress’ mail management system allows for large shippers to be processed directly on site, which allows integration of specific business rules into the customers’ mail delivery system and enhances security.

“Leading shippers are now realising that innovation in expedited mail delivery have been slow to materialise,” Moss said. “Our innovative solutions and customer-oriented approach are set to revolutionise this market. We believe this cash infusion will allow us to deliver on our ambitious strategy and quickly establish a significant market presence. We are convinced that Logispring’s experience in supply networks and delivery solutions and their networks in this space will be very beneficial to MailExpress and we look forward to working with them.”

“We expect that under Moss’ leadership, and with the company’s proprietary technology and core founding management team with incomparable experience in the space, MailExpress will become a very successful and profitable next generation mail provider,” said Marcel Timmer, Partner at Logispring.
