Independent research firm ranks Similarity Systems as strong performer
in information quality software

Dublin, Ireland & Austin, TX January 19, 2006: — Similarity Systems™, the leading provider of business-focused Data Quality solutions, today announced that it has been cited as a strong performer in the recently published Forrester Wave™ Information Quality Software market evaluation. Forrester is an independent technology research company that provides advice about technology's impact on business.

The new Forrester WAVE report, released this week, provides an objective assessment of the six major vendors offering global information quality and data quality solutions to large organizations. Similarity Systems was positioned in the Strong Performer segment of the Forrester Wave analysis, which compares current offerings, product strategy and market presence.

Similarity Systems has one of the most comprehensive data quality solutions available on the market. Its products, Similarity Systems AXIO™ and ATHANOR™, offer all the functionality needed to initiate and manage data quality programs, from profiling and analysis of multiple data sources through to cleansing, de-duplication and consolidation.

According to Forrester, “Similarity Systems is best suited to projects with many active business users.” Similarity Systems built its ATHANOR data quality solution to enable business users to take control of data quality projects. Together, Similarity Systems AXIO - one of the most scalable and comprehensive data profiling products on the market - and ATHANOR span data quality projects from start to finish and provide a bridge between the business and IT professionals involved.

“This Forrester report reflects growing awareness of the difficult problem of poor data quality across all industry sectors,” said Garry Moroney, chief executive officer, Similarity Systems. “With ATHANOR and AXIO we have created a unique solution fulfilling the expanding data quality needs of global enterprises.”
