Nordic Private Equity Achievement Award 2006 granted to CapMan
September 7, 2006 -- Nordic private equity and venture capital associations awarded 'The Nordic Private Equity Achievement Award 2006' to CapMan. The annual award was awarded for the first time this year.
The award was presented at the Nordic Private Equity Congress held in Stockholm yesterday by the event's organiser, the Swedish Venture Capital Association (SVCA), on behalf of all Nordic private equity and venture capital associations. The award is presented by Nordic private equity and venture capital associations annually to honour member companies for commitment and long-term activities in accordance with a Nordic strategy. The criteria for the award was: 'For being a forerunner in implementing a true Nordic investment strategy, encompassing offices and investment teams in Finland, Denmark, Norway and Sweden, focusing on early as well as later stage private equity investments in the Nordic arena.' 'CapMan is a very good example for a still growing group of private equity and venture capital firms, who have a goal-oriented Nordic focus. The situation that is often in question is that the support by a private equity investor enables a Nordic company to expand its operations internationally. Because Nordicism is a strong trend in the industry, the selection of this year's winner was difficult. However we are very pleased to announce that the Nordic private equity and venture capital associations have chosen CapMan as the winner of this year's award,' said Tom Berggren, Managing Director of the SVCA. xx Publisher Contact Information:
