Partnership between Swisscom and OnRelay for convergence

Swisscom and UK-based software vendor OnRelay have agreed on a collaboration for convergence in Switzerland. The collaboration between the two companies allows Swisscom to resell OnRelay’s MBX in Switzerland.

As uptake of advanced mobile handsets are growing rapidly and third generation mobile networks have scaled and matured, OnRelay is increasingly targeting its leading Fixed Mobile Integration offering towards mobile-only (IP)PBX implementations. This fits well with business models and strategies for advanced mobile operators such as Swisscom.

OnRelay’s MBX (Mobile Branch eXchange) seamlessly integrates mobile phones with corporate voice systems from a wide range of vendors. The patented solution operates over any 3G / GSM network anywhere in the world. MBX is to date certified with Siemens, Cisco, Nortel and Avaya enterprise voice systems.
