ONRELAY RELEASES MBX 3.1 – The Next Step in Fixed Mobile Integration
Supporting Siemens HiPath 4000, Cisco CallManager v5, and Symbian Series60v3

OnRelay today announced the general availability (GA) of MBX v3.1. MBX is a Fixed Mobile Integration software system that seamlessly integrates employees’ mobile phones with existing corporate voice systems (PBX) and all the surrounding business support systems.

The new MBX 3.1 release consists of many customer requested features, customisation options, management features, and user enhancements as well as support for additional mobile and PBX models. Some new features include:

• Multi-SIM support: MBX supports any number of SIM cards or phones per user, which may e.g. be used to eliminate expensive roaming charges for those workers based abroad.
• Signaling over WiFi: OnRelay MBX now also support WiFi for its TINP signalling, in parallel with GSM voice. This provides users in areas with no 3G coverage the same service level as 3G users, whether this may be at home, at work or at a public locations.
• Support for Siemens HiPath 4000 (IP)PBX systems and Cisco CallManager 5.
• Symbian certified support for a wide range of mobile phones on the new Symbian Series 60 v3 platform including Nokia E50, E61, E60, E70 and all Nokia N-series models.

“While the market is now flowing with Fixed Mobile Convergence hype and half-baked attempts to mobilise the enterprise voice infrastructure with alternatives to OnRelay’s patents, our release of MBX 3.1 once again proves that OnRelay is continuously increasing its lead with the only real and working solution in this space”, says Ivar Plahte, OnRelay's CEO. “We are excited that the new added PBX platform support opens up new markets for us, and believe MBX 3.1 will be instrumental in continuing the company’s very strong growth into 2007”, Plahte continues.

MBX integrates directly into the corporate infrastructure and can be purchased as a managed service from OnRelay’s partners. MBX can also be hosted by mobile or fixed operators. MBX is increasingly targeting IP PBX implementation with only mobile extensions, reducing the need for expensive deskphones and LAN / WAN upgrades for IP telephony to the desk.

MBX is certified on Cisco, Nortel, Siemens and Avaya IP and TDM PBX platforms and has numerous other PBX and hosted platforms currently under development. The overall system architecture of MBX and all its basic call flow methods are patented (US patent number 6.993.360), including its underlying Telephony Internetworking Protocol (TINP).
