Cubera Secondary invests in Aumar AB

Private equity fund Cubera Secondary makes it’s first investment by acquiring 30 % of the Swedish investment company Aumar AB. Aumar AB is today a wholly owned subsidiary of Sjätte AP-fonden (AP6) and holds a portfolio consisting of 11 companies. In unison Cubera has entered into a co-operation agreement with Sjätte AP-fonden regarding the management of Aumar AB.

- We are pleased by the foundation of a dedicated investor within the Nordic private equity secondary market. Without any doubt there is an obvious need for liquidity solutions in the private equity market and this is the first agreement of it’s kind which we have entered into, comments Mats Augurell, Senior Vice President, responsible for AP Partnerinvesteringer within Sjätte AP-fonden.

- For Cubera Secondarys investors this transaction represents both a promising investment and an important relationship with Sjätte AP-fonden, the most significant player in the Nordic region. The primary market for Nordic private equity has now reached such a size and level of maturity that we are convinced of a healthy growth of the secondary market. The sheer number of inquiries, we have received from managers and investors since Cubera’s inception in October is just one proof for that, says Jørgen Kjærnes, managing partner of Cubera Private Equity.
