Mobile Ticketing: MindMatics partners with T-Mobile for Street Gigs!
Munich, Juli 5, 2007 - Imitating the successful English concept, T-Mobile has signalled the start of an event series entitled 'Street Gigs'. The event, featuring Billy Talent, launched on June 26th, 2007 and was a complete success . T-Mobile presents an exclusive 'Street Gig' every month featuring a top band playing in a hot location. Though tickets to these events cannot be purchased, registering for the chance to win is easy and free by simply going to the Street Gigs website at www.t-mobile-streetgigs.de. Winners receive two of these much sought after tickets quickly via SMS sent to their mobile phone. These tickets will then appear on the screen as a quadratic 'Data Matrix Code', which is a new development in bar codes. Winners save the code to their mobile phones and before entering the concert, place their phones on the scanner provided by MindMatics. The system will check the validity of the code and print out a confirmation thus allowing access to the event location. Nothing more is required. The transmission of the code image takes place using the established mobile services. T-Mobile will also be providing visitors with mobile content at the event location, like wallpapers that can be saved as mobile souvenirs which can be downloaded to mobile phones via Bluetooth.
