BoneSupport AB recruits new Medical Director

The Swedish medical technology company BoneSupport in Lund, which develops synthetic, injectable ceramic bone substitutes, has recruited Sam Lindgren, M.D., Ph.D. as Medical Director. Most recently Dr. Lindgren worked at Novo Nordisk where he was Vice President for International product safety. The employment is one of several important recruitments that BoneSupport has taken lately.

- We are very positive about the recruitment of Sam Lindgren. He has a great experience from different top positions within the pharmaceutical industry, combined with an international background and an extensive network of opinion leaders and regulatory contacts.. We launched the new injectable bone material CERAMENT™ BONE VOID FILLER in U.S. earlier this year, and with Sam Lindgren we are improving our ability to make the launch successful and secure the foundation for growth with new products the following years, says Fredrik Lindberg, CEO of BoneSupport.

Since May 2003 Dr. Lindgren has been Vice President at Novo Nordisk, with focus on International product safety, including injection devices. He was also globally responsible for customer complaints and drug safety. Before 2003 he was the Medical Director at Novo Nordisk for Northern Europe. Dr Lindgren has previously held several positions at Astra Zeneca and Lundbeck.

− BoneSupport is a very interesting company which currently is in an expanding phase with focus on big global markets. I see great opportunities for the company and to become a part of this expansion feels incredibly inspiring, says Dr. Lindgren.

The recruitment of Dr. Lindgren is the most recent recruitment for BoneSupport. Lately Stella Ramette was recruited as International Product Manager, Johan Olsson as new Production Director and Fredrik Werner as CFO.

BoneSupport introduced the product CERAMENT™ BONE VOID FILLER on the U.S. market earlier this year with promising initial sales. Within the next few months BoneSupport plans to introduce, CERAMENT™ SPINE SUPPORT on the European market, with focus on the treatment of vertebral compression fractures.
