Industry Veteran Dr. David Baker joins ODM
as Executive Vice President of Engineering

Palo Alto, CA Ė October 22, 2007 Ė ON DEMAND Microelectronics (ODM) today announced that Dr. David Baker has joined the company as Executive Vice President. As a seasoned architect of multimedia processors and products, Dr. Baker brings a great deal of technical expertise and market knowledge to complement ODMís management team.

David Baker has had a distinguished career with over 30 years of semiconductor and systems experience, including executive roles at Legerity (ZL), SigmaTel (SGTL), BOPS (ALTR), Equator (PXLW) and Brooktree (CNXT). His background includes 15 years at IBM in research and development roles, as well as product development and deployment experience at Texas Instruments and Compaq. His areas of expertise include hardware and software product development in processors, PC graphics, audio, video, imaging and digital TV. At SigmaTel, he led the engineering team responsible for delivering next generation portable audio controllers for the MP3 player market.

Commenting on his new challenge, Dr. Baker said 'the technology and my background are an ideal match. ODMís technology has the perfect foundation for building a strong video and imaging centric system.'

'Dr. Baker is an industry icon with unprecedented expertise in creating state-of-the-art video systems. His track record in building out disruptive, high-performance and market-leading products will undoubtedly give ODM's core engineering an unfair advantage.' said Patrick Soheili, CEO and President of ON DEMAND Microelectronics. 'We are very pleased to invite Dr. Baker to our executive staff. His time will be divided among our centers of excellence in Europe, U.S. and India.'

Dr. Baker has published papers in numerous technical conferences and trade magazines on the development of media processor technologies. His patent activity includes more than 30 patents issued and/or filed, most in complementary areas to ODMís rapidly growing patent portfolio of more than 20.

Dr. Baker received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Texas at Austin.
