Press Release

Mechelen (Belgium), February, 2008 – iNEWiT, the mobile video communication & monitoring experts, has appointed Fernand Hollevoet as an independent member and Marc Devis as executive chairman to the board of directors. The nomination of both senior telecom market executives signifies a considerable reinforcement of iNEWiT’s market knowledge at a crucial breakthrough moment.

Fernand Hollevoet (51) has worked in both wireless and fixed telecom industry and currently holds several board positions in various companies in both the ICT and other industry sectors. After a career as a telecoms manager with the Belgian Federal Police (“Rijkswacht”), he held executive positions at, amongst others, SAIT-Stento (now ZENITEL), Lucent Technologies and as CEO at KPN Belgium.

Marc Devis (48) has been active in the IT-industry since 1981 and is a founder and board member of various companies in Belgium and abroad. Marc joined Intel as Director of Worldwide Service provider Sales in March 2001 through Intel’s acquisition of Xircom Inc. He stayed at Intel until October 2002.

Marc joined Xircom Inc. just after its start in 1989 and – as Sr VP Worldwide Sales & Marketing - was instrumental in building the startup into a global, USD 500+ Million communications company.

Koen Faes, founder and CEO of iNEWiT: “Given their track record in the European and worldwide telecom space, we are very pleased to have Marc and Fernand on our board of directors.”

Both new board members add over 40 years of combined telecom marketing and sales experience to iNEWiT at a crucial point in the start-up’s career.

“iNEWiT is on the verge of an international breakthrough,” said Marc Devis. “The company has the technology and vision in an emerging market. This is the time to bring our expertise in sales & marketing strategies and tactics to bear”.

Fernand Hollevoet agrees: “We are excited to be involved with iNEWiT. The founders have been very successful in creating the technology, optimizing the manufacturing and logistical processes and generating initial interest with mobile operators and resellers. We want to help in further optimizing this and ramping up the sales & marketing channel.”
